This Berries ’N Cream French Toast Casserole is the most SCRUMPTIOUS breakfast, perfect for a lazy Sunday or special brunch like Mother’s Day, Easter or just because.

Breakfasts like this makes me wish everyday was like Sunday morning! A delicious French toast casserole with a creamy filling and topped with all the berries and warm syrup!

Sounds amazing because it is!

Tough this French toast casserole makes for quite an impressive brunch with its rather celebratory looks, the recipe came out from a lazy attempt to not stand in front of the stove flipping toast after toast.

That was many moons ago, but this recipe is still very much a favorite around here. Hopefully it will become a little tradition at your home too 🙂

what you will need to make this berries ‘n cream French toast casserole

  1. French baguette
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 4 tbsp cream cheese
  4. 3/4 cup milk
  5. 6-8 large strawberries
  6. 1 cup blueberries
  7. maple syrup

hot to make French toast casserole

  1. start by slicing a French baguette into 1 – 1 1/2 inch pieces.
  2. arrange the bread slices side by side in a loaf pan or casserole

3. place a slice of strawberry between each bread slice. Large strawberries will look best here.

4. add eggs, cream cheese and milk to a blender cup and pulse for 30s until mixture is smooth.

5. pour cream mixture onto the bread and strawberries, making sure there is cream between all the bread slices.

6. bake at 350F degrees for 30-35 minutes or until bread turns golden brown.

Remove from oven and serve with fresh blueberries and warm maple syrup.

Note: this recipe can be arranged the night before. Keep cream mixture in an air tight covered dish and only mix it up to half hour before baking, otherwise the bread will become soggy.

  • Loaf Pan or Casserole

Ingredients 

  • 1 French baguette
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 6-8 large strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • maple syrup

Instructions
