My wellness journey gave me the opportunity to rebuild my life on a strong foundation through community support and create the life of my dreams!
When I started my wellness journey back in 2009, in addition to being sick and depressed, I felt lost, completely overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. I still remember the first time I walked in to my local Whole Foods and felt like I was walking into a foreign country, a familiar feel that I had experienced years earlier when I first moved to the US. So I quickly and intuitively decided to start small to assure I was doing something, even if very little and not trip on my own steps.
While I expected to improve my health and mood, quality of life and address the root cause of my symptoms, what I didn’t know was, I was actually transforming my life, bringing forth an amazing career and building relationships that inspire and support my goals.
FINDING YOUR TRIBE
I started my journey alone but soon after I met so many wonderful people that were willing to offer their help and advice in such lovingly and welcoming way, I felt right at home. In all honesty, the connections I made since I started my wellness journey have been the force that carried me through the down times.
I believe that the moment you say yes to a better, healthier, happier version of you, and more in touch with yourself, the universe will connect you to the right people. In your wellness path, you’re never alone!
Today I am proud to know so many incredible like-minded people and professionals, and to have access to a local community of support to help keep my goals in check.
The W.E.L.L. SUMMIT – Boston
The WELL Summit will take place in Boston on April 21st. I am so excited for this event because it is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from the best on the wellness industry and be INSPIRED! ✨ These types of events are like a breath of fresh air, you literally walk out feeling like a new human!
This event offers a 360º approach on wellness, meaning they will tackle all areas of your life! From nutrition and exercise to mind, body, home and relationships. The support and resources are there from the best in the wellness industry and you are likely to make new friends too!
I am MEGA excited to hear from nationally recognized experts such as Agapi Stassinopoulos (must read: Wake Up to the Joy of You: 52 Meditations and Practices for a Calmer, Happier Life!), Mia Davis whom I’ve been learning from since her Beautycounter days, Agatha Achindu (founder of Yummy Spoonfuls), Chelsea Williams, Tara Foley and so many other inspiring women.
Independently of what walks each of us have walked or our current situation, connecting with like-minded individuals in events such as The WELL Summit can help us build a strong foundation through community support and create the lives we dream for ourselves.
For me personally, it is imperative that I find ways to connect with my tribe to fuel the human necessity of connection and growth, through sharing stories, ideas and building each other up.
