This peppermint bark is a sweet treat to enjoy this Holiday Season. Serve it in a platter and cheer up your holiday table or make a few batches to gift to the ones you love. How versatile is this recipe! This peppermint bark can be your go-to sweet appetizer, dessert plate or last minute host gift… either way I am sure this recipe will be hit!
Greetings Friends! I am so happy and grateful to share another recipe with you before the all Holiday celebration begins. That thanks to an unexpected forced-stay home on this glorious Monday. A certain little someones came down with a mild cold. Luckily it was mild enough that one day of rest is all she needed to get back on her little feet and cheerfully wait for Santa.
I am clearly obsessed with chocolate bark, just like I was obsessed with making tomato sauce recipes over the summer. I guess you gotta enjoy what you like right? The thing is, I have so many ideas and variation for this recipe and want to try them all!! a couple weeks ago I worked on a mixed dark and white chocolate bark with almonds which was amazing and it quickly disappeared from my fridge. Then there was the original Unreal Chocolate Peanuts Bark recipe I made for a healthy halloween treat.
So how about one-more-bark recipe to finish off the year on a sweet note? Plus, is it just me or a box/ tin of peppermint chocolate cost a fortune ?! This 1/2 lb bar of Valrhona Noire Orange chocolate and 1 lg corn-syrup-free candy cane, which made a small batch of delicious peppermint chocolate bark cost no more then $10. You can bring the cost even lower if you opt for a conventional chocolate bar and sugar candy cane.
If the cost isn’t enough of a convincing factor, how about making these joyful treats for the perfect hostess gift! Arrange a tall pile of peppermint bark and wrap it in a clear plastic wrap tied with a pretty bow and gift it away… to your neighbor, school teachers, co-workers, dog sitter or simply make a large batch to offer when family and friends stop by, on your holiday party or to munch while you enjoy making memories.
I hope this Holiday season will be a memorable one for all of us, filled with laughter, joy and cheer to spread all thru-ought the new year! May our 2016 be the year of chance and change. Let’s take a chance, follow our hearts and deepest dreams (believe) and make some significant changes in our lives for the better.
