- 2-3 plantains sliced
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp butter
Mix sugar and cinnamon on a flat plate with raised sides.
Peel and cut plantain into 3 chunks and transfer to a cinnamon sugar mix. Roll plantains to coat with sugar.
Slice plantains into about 1/2 inch thick rounds. Make sure they are all equal sized.
Melt butter in a large 12inch skillet. Then add plantain rounds.
Fry plantains on each side for about 4-5 minutes on medium -low heat or until golden brown.
Transfer fried sweet plantains to a paper towel lined plate or wooden board. Sprinkle with more cinnamon if you like and serve.
