- 2 lb flank steak
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 orange juiced
- 1 lime juiced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos or soy
- 3 cloves garlic minced or pressed
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- cilantro and lime to garnish
Add all the ingredients (except the meat) to a large platter or baking dish, large enough to hold the meat.
Whisk well to combine.
Add the flank steak, make sure it is covered in the marinate. Flip it a couple times. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Pre-heat the grill, make sure it is sizzling hot. While the grill is pre-heating take out the meat, remove from the marinate, let it sit on the counter for up to 30 minutes. it's best if the steak reaches room temperature.
Grill flank steak for about 4 minutes on each side. Feel free to brush the meat with remaining marinate a few times, for added flavor.
Transfer the carne asada from the grill to a baking dish and cover immediately. Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing it.
Slice the carne asada thinly against the grain. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
