Creamy Brazilian Hot Cocoa

This creamy, thick and rick hot cocoa recipe makes for an irresistible treat that will melt your cravings away!

  • 3 cups milk of preference
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp 100% cocoa powder not hot cocoa mix!
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 shot of espresso totally optional but a must try!


  • Heat the milk in medium-low heat for about 5 mins. Add the condensed milk and stir for 2-3 mins (wooden spoon or silicone spatula works best!). Add the cocoa powder and keep on stirring.
  • Meanwhile melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Add it to the hot milk and stir non-stop to avoid from sticking to the pan, about 10-12 mins.
  • When the hot cocoa is creamy remove from heat and add in the expresso shot and stir briefly before serving (optional).


  • Marshmallows
  • Whip cream
  • Cinnamon stick for stirring while you drink
  • Drizzle of white chocolate for a tasty and interesting contrast.
