Ingredients

  • 1 - 1/2 lb skirt steak thinly sliced
  • 1 onion sliced lengthwise
  • 4 cloves garlic minced or sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced lengthwise
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced lengthwise
  • 2 oz fresh Thai basil or sweet basil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice skirt steak as thinly as possible then season well with sea salt and pepper

  • Heat oil in a wok pan or large cast iron skillet. When the pan is hot add in beef in a single layer. Cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side or until the beef is nice and browned. *do not stir the beef* Transfer beef to a plate.

  • Add the onion, garlic and bell peppers and sauté until softened.

  • and soy sauce. Stir well to combine.

  • Push veggies to the sides of the pan and add beef back in.

  • Top with Thai basil and toss toss toss to combine until basil has wilted (about 2-3 minutes)
