Carrot Gummy Bears
- 1 medium carrot
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup optional
- 30 tbsp liquid multivitamin
- 1 1/2 tsp agar agar powder
Beet Gummy Bears
- 1 small beet root
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup optional
- 30 tbsp liquid multivitamin
- 1 1/2 tsp agar agar powder
In a blender add the carrot (or beet, one flavor at a time, same process!) water, maple syrup, and blend.
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the concentrated juice into a glass bowl. Add the multivitamin and agar agar powder and whisk to combine. Set aside for 5 mins while you work on the next flavor.
When done, come back to the carrot multivitamin juice and bring to a simmer, whisking constantly to dissolve any remaining solids/ powder residue (2-3 mins)
Remove from heat and pour into the gummy bear mold using the dropper (which comes included with the gummy bear mold).
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours to set. Remove from mold and store in a jar. Keep refrigerated.
This recipe makes about 300 gummy multivitamins, however, the mold only holds 100 at a time.
Option 1. Buy 3 packages of the gummy silicone mold.
Option 2. Pour the remaining liquid multivitamin into a flat shallow glass container and when set, cut into small cubes.
