my very first cranberry spritzer

For the Holiday season I’ve decided to add a fun Spritzer to the menu. This Cranberry Wine Spritzer is as fun and refreshing, as it is simple to make and elegant to serve. Made with 3-ingredients + all the holly jolly toppings that will transform this simple recipe into the most festive centerpiece!

Okay, can I get a clap, a smile or even a head nod for my very first alcoholic beverage recipe on the blog?!

Yesssss! Thank you!!

Let me tell you, we are b.o.r.i.n.g people. We drink water mostly. I drink coffee and tea, kombucha when I’m feeling fancy, and then more water. That is it! So every holiday season whenever we host dinners and parties, we have no fun drinks to serve. Like ever! Hahaha…

The worse kinda people right? Well, that’s not happening this year because of this fun and refreshing cranberry wine spritzer. And the best part is, this cranberry spritzer CAN be made without the wine, and it can also be made with lots of wine and even an ounce or two of vodka.

But hold it right there peeps, I am just starting out and this small body can only handle a little bit of booze from this cranberry wine spritzer recipe.

My favorites, you ask?

  • Reisling
  • Moscato
  • Prosecco
  • Sparkling Wine

While you can use any of these options in this cranberry spritzer recipe, I recommend that you stick with moscato because of its sweetness which balances out the tanginess of the cranberry juice perfectly.

A lot of times you will see an added sweetener to mixed beverages, but I much prefer to keep things simple, less ingredients on my list and still achieve the same result. So moscato it is!

Lastly, this cranberry wine spritzer is served very cold so be sure to have lots of ice handy but don’t add it all at once otherwise you will water down the drink. Instead, make sure that all the liquids are as chilled as possible and only mix it just prior to serving or up to 2 hours prior. Read all the recipe notes for details.

Cranberry Wine Spritzer

by Silvia Ribas
This Cranberry Wine Spritzer is a fun, refreshing and festive beverage, perfect for all your holiday gatherings. The bright tangy flavor from the cranberries are perfectly balanced with the sweetness of moscato. Fun topping like lemon, fresh cranberries and rosemary transform this simple recipe into an elegant centerpiece!
Prep: 10 minutes
Servings: 48 oz

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cranberry juice, chilled
  • 16 oz moscato wine, chilled
  • 16 oz soda water, chilled

Toppings

  • lots of ice
  • fresh rosemary sprigs
  • fresh cranberries
  • lemon slices

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a jar or pitcher just before serving* (see recipe notes)**
  • Add about 2 cups of ice to the pitcher but no more otherwise you will water down the spritzer *** (see recipe notes)

Notes

*If you want to mix the beverage before the party I would recommend that you do for up to 2 hours prior. In this case only mix the cranberry juice and wine. Leave the soda water to add last minute, just prior to serving.
**Add fresh cranberries, lemon slices and rosemary to a serving bowl next to pitcher so people can add more/less toppings as desired.
***Spritzers are served super cold, so be sure to have extra ice available next to pitcher.
